● Owner outreach for business buyers

We email the owners you want to buy.

Done-for-you outreach for PE platforms, independent sponsors and holding companies buying private businesses. We build the list of owners in your target market, write to them in your name, and hand you the ones open to a conversation.

Hi {{ownerName}},

I run a group that owns a handful of accounting firms in the Carolinas. I came across {{companyName}} and liked how long you've served {{town}}.1

Have you given any thought to what happens with the firm when you eventually step back?2

If it's on your mind, even years out, I'd be glad to talk. If not, no problem, and I won't keep emailing.3

  1. 1A real person and a specific reason for writing. Owners get buyer emails every week, and the generic ones go straight to trash.
  2. 2One easy question. No valuation talk and no "capital to deploy."
  3. 3A clean way out. It protects your firm's reputation and the owner's trust.
01The letters

Owners delete "we have capital to deploy." They answer a person.

Owners in the busy verticals now hear from buyers constantly, and fake acquisition offers have become a common scam. A letter that reads like a form gets treated like one.

✕What owners delete

Dear Business Owner,

Our firm is a leading private equity platform with significant capital to deploy. We are actively seeking acquisition opportunities and would welcome a confidential discussion about a potential transaction.

Please schedule time at the link below.

  • No name, no reason, a link and a sales pitch

✓What they answer

Hi Dan,

I run a group that owns a handful of accounting firms in the Carolinas. Saw your firm has served the same town for 30 years.

Have you thought about what happens with the firm when you step back? Even years out, I'd be glad to talk.

  • Your name, their name, one honest question, no link

Both letters are illustrations, not real emails. The names in them are made up.

02The replies

The owners who say "maybe later" are your next deals.

Most owners aren't selling this month. The ones who say "maybe in a couple of years" are your future deals, and most outreach lets them disappear. We track every one.

New reply9:14 AM

"I'm 61 and my kids don't want the business. Maybe in a year or two."

  3. Later

The reply above is an example of the kind we sort, not a quote from a real owner.

03How it works

Three weeks to the first letter. You show up for two steps.

You
Week 1

We map your buy box

Vertical, territory, size and the owner profile you want. One 45-minute call.

Weeks 1–2

We build the owner list

From public license records and firm websites, each owner checked before a letter goes out. Sending domains set up and warmed so your main email is never at risk.

You
Week 3

You approve the letters

Short, personal, in your voice. You read every one before it sends.

Every month after

Conversations come to you

Owners who want to talk reach you within one business day. You get a monthly list of every conversation and every "not yet."

04Fit

Built for buyers who are actually buying.

Good fit

  • You have the capital or the platform, and you're closing deals now
  • You can describe the businesses you want to buy
  • A good acquisition is worth $1 million or more to you
  • You know a close takes 6 to 18 months and want the pipeline filling now

Probably not

  • You're still raising money and can't close yet
  • You only want to pay a fee when a deal closes
  • You want someone to negotiate or value businesses for you. We don't do that.
  • Nobody on your team will call the owners who reply
05Price

A flat monthly fee. Never a cut of your deal.

One vertical in one territory. Sending, list upkeep, reply handling, "not yet" follow-ups, monthly report. We won't run your lane for a competing buyer.
Success fee$0

One closed add-on is usually worth far more than a year of this.

We're a marketing service, not a broker. We send your letters and route the replies to you. We don't negotiate, value a business or represent anyone in a deal, so there's never a success fee.

06Questions

What buyers ask first

Will owners know it's an outreach service?

The letters go out in your name, from domains set up for this, and the replies come to you. You're the one they talk to.

Is this legal?

Yes. It's outreach on your behalf for a flat fee. Every email has a real sender, a postal address and a plain way to opt out. We don't broker deals or take a fee tied to one.

Where do the owner lists come from?

Public license records, firm websites and business filings, checked one by one. You can see the list before anything sends.

How many owners will you contact?

As many as fit your buy box, and no more. In most lanes that's hundreds, not thousands, so every letter can be personal.

How soon do letters go out?

About three weeks after kickoff. Most of that is warming up new sending domains, which you can't rush.

Who will I work with?

Me, Jacob. I run Huntora and I answer my own email.

Want to see who'd be on your list?

Book 30 minutes and tell me your buy box. You'll leave with a rough count of the owners in your market and how we'd reach them.
